"The Last Supper"

Subject

When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles
reclined at the table. And he said to them, "I
have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with
you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat
it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom
of God." (Luke 22: 14-16) Japanese rendition
of the Last Supper. The red fish is considered
the appropriate dish for special meals.

Description

Red field w/ heavy black outlines. 13 human
figures arranged around a white 30cm square
table (perspective is such that both horizontal
and vertical surfaces are fully shown on one
plane). Vertical edges of table are concave. 4
figures along bottom, 2 either side, 5 along top.
All have visible white faces with features
represented by a black "T" above a short black
horizontal line (mouth) except 2nd from rt. on
lower edge (back of blue-haired head). Fig. in
center top has yellow halo. Table holds twelve
3.5cm discs (4 yellow, 4 blue, 3 green, 2 white)
dishes arranged around edges. Interspersed are
nine 1.5cm black rectangle with yellow flame on
top edge. To the left and right between the
lamps is one black bottle shape on each side. At
the center of the table a 14cm red & white
platter holding two fish, one yellow and one
